Team KeyHealth Jabberwock Adventure Racing (Nicky Booyens, Ruan van der Merwe, Cobus van Zyl and Craig Metherell) is about to start the Himalayan Adventure Race in India. Heidi and Stephan Muller are over there to assist the race organisers with this, their first event.
Of the first part of the race the team writes, “The 1st hike will be a marked route of approx 60km at high altitude, expected to be challenging for most teams. Participants will venture back to the hotel for the night. The cycle that will follow will be exceptionally fast on downhill mountain pass, covering about 70km and should take the team no more than two hours to complete. The rafting will be on flat water with a chance of headwind in the afternoon.”
