Rumble through the Transkei terrain, where Nguni cattle have carved their historic trails creating the perfect route for the Transkei Tuff 150. The Won Adventure team have put together a fantastic 150km adventure race; perfect for the first time adventure racers, adventurers, duo’s and Expedition Africa trainees.
The Transkei Tuff 150 takes place from the 27-28th February 2016 where teams have 24 hours to complete the course. The Wild Coast offers a true playground featuring a possibility of 250km of unspoiled coastline dotted with sweeping bays, rocky headlands and footprint-free beaches.
Teams of 2 or 4 will endure the task of navigating through the Transkei on a course that will take them through unforgettable parts of wild coast paradise. 150 KM awaits those who are “tuff” enough to challenge this unrelenting terrain. Mountain Biking, Trekking, Orienteering and Kayaking are the disciplines required to compete and prove that your team is Transkei Tuff!
The host venue for the Transkei Tuff 150 Adventure Race is Wavecrest Beach Hotel & Spa; stunning accommodation located just 90minutes from the famous Kei River pont. The Wavecrest Beach Hotel & Spa is situated in a pristine, mangrove-lined estuary, surrounded by magnificent dune forests and endless expanses of beach, making the perfect host venue for the Transkei Tuff 150.
