ExpAfrica: Community service activity

This morning the teams bundled into vehicles and headed off to a nearby school for Expedition Africa’s community project run in partnership with IQ Business.

The project involved teams planting trees on the school property and a handout of food to the children – once the teams had left. The food and cold drinks were kindly sponsored by the Orion Mont-aux-Sources hotel.

After the tree planting the teams ‘decorated’ a wall at the school with paint handprints and their names.

This afternoon we’ve got a course flyover at 15h00 and the map handout for Leg 1 at 15h30. If you want to know the leg and distance splits for the course, read Rob Howards’ write-up on Sleepmonsters. I’ll stick to feeding the legs to you bit by bit – as we’re on them. If we don’t get ourselves through Leg 1, we ain’t gonna be reaching the finish.
