CT-to-Beit-Bridge walker, Ray Chaplin, has been on the road for 30 days. On Thursday, 29 Jan, heading towards Hopetown, Ray clocked his 1000th kilometre covered.
Ray’s journey has been marked by the hospitality of people he has met along way – on the road and in towns. Whether offering a warm place to sleep, company or a loaf of home-baked bread, Ray has encountered much kindness on his travels.
Ray is now 120km from Kimberley and he should get there in another four days.
